When dealing with a built in oven installation, all gas and electrical connectors to the built in oven must be shut off; as to prevent any major accidents occurring during installation. As Gas Cooker Installers engineers, we turn off the circuit breaker to the kitchen before the built in oven installation continues. If there is uncertainty on where the circuit breaker is during installation however, Gas Cooker Installers engineers recommend shutting down the main breaker to the home before continuing with the built in oven installation.
To make the built in oven installation run as smoothly as possible, the door of the built in oven, and any apparatus that comes with the built in oven will need to be removed so it is lighter and easier to manoeuvre. In order for the door to be removed from the built in oven before the built in oven installation is complete, all the screws that secure the door to the built in oven will need to be taken off, and then push the hinge to the unlocked position towards the door frame before the built in oven’s installation.
In continuation with the built in oven installation, the built in oven’s wires will need to be connected with the connection box, which should be near where the installation is taking place, in accordance to the manufacturer’s instructions. When installing a built in oven, Gas Cooker Installers would like to illustrate that built in wall ovens are plugged straight into the junction box.
For the built in oven’s installation, the oven will need to be placed straight into its allocated opening. In further installation of the built in oven or gas oven, the wood screws will need to be placed into the built in oven’s mounting holes so as to attach, during installation, the built in oven to the cabinet wall. To finish off the built in oven installation, any trimming that comes with the built in oven can be placed into the relevant areas as to conceal any gaps or holes around the built in oven or gas oven that occurred during the gas oven installation.
