The first thing that must be remembered when installing an oven is to turn off any circuit switches and gas powers that are connected to the oven. Our Gas Cooker Installers engineers always make sure they are extra wary of potential accidents, which is why they tape the off switch to the electricity and gas mains that are connected to the oven, so that whilst installing the oven the powers do not accidentally come on, causing harm to all people involved.

Before installing an oven, the electrical and gas connections must be separated. When installing an oven, you need to locate the electrical junction box that should be behind the cabinet space that is being used for installing an oven. Gas Cooker professional always make sure that if the electrical junction box cannot be found whilst installing an oven that they check behind the dry wall, as that is the most likely place it will be. If this is the case, before installing an oven, the junction box needs to be exposed from behind the dry wall.

Subsequently, in the quest of installing an oven, the measurements of the cabinet space and oven need to be compared in order to make sure that installing the oven will be done with effortlessness. If the desired cabinet opening that is used for installing an oven is too wide, then the difference in measurement should be divided by two, and then half that amount cut from either side of the opening before installing an oven.

The new oven you will be installing will need to be placed near the cabinet space that it will be installed into so that when installing the oven, the oven’s wires are in reaching distance of the electrical junction box. If you are installing a gas oven, this is the time to check that the gas oven’s gas cables are able to reach the gas connectors when installing an oven. During this part of the installing an oven, our Gas Cooker Installers professionals often put the oven that they are installing on a strong table that is the same, or similar height, to the bottom of where the new oven is being installed; so that when installing the new oven or gas oven, it can be slid into place with ease.

When dealing with the wiring part of installing an oven, a right-angled clamp needs to be connected to the cable of the new oven or gas oven. After this part of the process of installing an oven is done, each oven wire will need to be coiled with the appropriate house wires and secured with a wire nut so that they stay in place at all times.

In continuing with installing an oven, the connected wires need to be placed into the junction box and the cover of the junction box attached. The right-angle cable bracket will need to be fixed to the cover when installing an oven. If when searching for the electrical junction box the wall had to be opened during installing an oven, make sure the hole is closed securely in order to be successful in installing an oven.

The new oven being installed can then be put into place. When installing an oven, to make it secure in the space provided, the bolts will need to be screwed into the appropriate mounting holes. To conclude with installing an oven, any borders and trimming need to be placed around the oven or gas oven to cover any gaps or space around the oven that was caused during installing the oven.
